Gevalia Kaffe Review

Recently I received a sample of Gevalia Kaffe to review through the site PinchMe. PinchMe is a website that posts new samples once a month for you to receive and review for free based on your profile.

While I may not be a coffee fan, my husband P loves to have his coffee and creamer usually made in out Keurig K-Cup machine. Luckily I have the attachment to make you own K-Cup coffee so we were able to try this tonight.

When I opened the package to make the coffee I thought that it had a nice aroma, but it was up to P to decide if it was any good or not. P tried the coffee with and without his normal creamer. P says that this coffee is nothing special in his opinion and he would not recommend it to others as he thought that there were better options out there for you money.

I'm glad I received this sample to review as I won't splurge on this to surprise P in the future.

I have received nothing in return for my review except for a free sample of the product to give my opinion.

October 2014 Birchbox

Birchbox is a monthly beauty sample box that send 4-5 deluxe samples for $10 a month.  These samples are chosen based on the beauty profile you have filled out.  You receive points for each product you review that you have received in your box and you can redeem these points for products in their store.

My Birchbox arrived a couple of weeks ago but I wanted to take the time to try my samples before I reviewed them.  This is my third Birchbox and it was hit and miss on the samples I received.

First up is the Vasani BrightenUp! Enzymatic Face Rejuvenator.  From the card "this customer fave mimics effects of microdermabrasion for a glowing, smooth complexion".  I have found that it does work well to clean my skin and leave it feeling smoother and refreshed.  The sample size was small to see if there were true long term results.  This is one item I will be saving my points for in the future.

Second is the Dr. Lipp Original Nipple Balm for Lips.  From the card "originally made for nursing moms, this ultrahydrating balm is a makeup artist fave".  This was an ok product for me but was nothing exciting.  You can never have too many chapsticks but the sample size on this one was small, considering the price of a full size product.  This would not be a repeater for me.

Third in my box is the Joie Folle de Joie Eau de Parfum.  From the card "a Birchbox customer fave, this fresh scent blends mandarin, rose and sandalwood".  For me this was an acceptable scent, but not something I would wear everyday.  I have found that I like it when I am looking for something different to wear than my everyday perfume staples.  I'm not sure that I would purchase this product.

Fourth is the DevaCurl No-Poo Cleanse.  From the card "no-foam cleanser with grapeseed and peppermint oils to cleanse and tame curls".  I was really excited to see this product in my box as I am always looking for something that will tame my hair and help with frizz, which the websites states this does.  But in the end I was really disappointed in the product as it seemed to make my frizz worse.  It's never good when your husband tells you that you need to tame the halo of frizz after trying a new product.  This is a definite no go product for me.

Lastly, I received a Cynthia Rowley Beauty Eye Pencil in Silver.  From the card "the NYC-based designer's new metallic liner goes on smoothly for long-lasting wear".  I wasn't too sure of this color and the glitter in it, as I didn't feel that this would be something I could wear everyday to the office, but I was surprised at how much I liked it since it went on so smooth.  While I'm still not too sure about the color, I have used it to highlight the black eyeliner that I had on but I don't think this is something I could wear by itself.

Overall I love receiving my Birchbox each month, since I get to try new and different products than what I would normally choose for myself!

I received no compensation for my review and all thoughts on these products are my own.
